My research is situated at the intersection of theatre studies, cultural studies and literature studies.

As a habilitated scholar of theatre and cultural studies, I am particularly interested in theatre and literary historiography, transnational theatre and transcultural knowledge transfer, translation in the context of philosophy, multilingualism and the politics of representation as well as comic and popular theatre forms from the early modern period to the present.
